The Technologies Which are using or the Current Work Environment

Network Connectivity:

Protocols: (Windows Terminal Server connectivity)

Remote Display Protocol (RDP) - Microsoft Proprietary Protocol for Windows Terminal Services. Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) - Proprietary Protocol designed by Citrix Systems.

Ports: (For manual work)

Port-20,21 for FTP (File Transfer Portocol)
Port-23 is used for Telnet Protocol
Port-139,445 for Microsoft-DS
Port-137,138 Net-Bios Name Service.

Main Work-flow using the existing Network

  1. Work any where environment by using the Windows Terminal Server with Citrix Service.

(Using the RDP, ICA Protocol).

  1. Taking Documents Printing from Network, Local Printers.

  2. Accessing, Sharing files from different network locations by using User-Name and Password.

  3. Giving IP-Addresses manually (No DHCP available).

  4. Sharing Data using Microsoft-DS, FTP Protocols.

  5. Uploading the Data to Servers from the Systems.

  6. Using the Internet through Squid Proxy Server.

One is the primary thing is to choose the Operating System which is more reliable and robust. In that we should also check the Future implementations also development. So we can choose the Operating System from Opensource. I.e Linux or BSD . This Operating System is having the hardware compatibility these days to all including the Desktop, Server, PDA and etc., The Desktop version and Server version is nowadays going to boom and by using these we can also stop the piracy.
